Infinity has strong network and vast resources spanning across the industries and sectors which enable us to customize supply chain solutions for the various business needs of our customers. We strive to put a high degree of commitment to ensure the competitiveness for our customers by optimizing supply chain costs and improving on productivity. We take time to understand the business needs of our customers in depth before offering the best tailor-made solutions to them.
Some of the industries that we have developed extensive experience and expertise from various places include palm oil & lauric, rubber & latex, iron & steel, construction materials, minerals, grains & feed, polymers as well as fast moving consumer goods (FMCG).
Palm Oil & Lauric Acid
Understanding the specifications of palm oil & lauric acid is important to ensure appropriate logistics, such as the types and sizes of bags that needs to be used. This is very important in ensuring that there are zero contamination and the quality of the cargo transported is not compromised. Palm oil is a commodity that has possibilities of being solidified depending on the location of discharge. Therefore, by understanding the requirements of the commodity, we provide heating solutions at point of discharge.
Rubber & Latex
Rubber and latex have high risks of being contaminated as moisture and water may destroy the quality of the rubber. For that reason, the condition of containers and packaging, chances of contamination by the pallets and the volatility of the latex are taken into consideration before these commodities are being transported. Latex has high possibilities of having lumps and therefore, we provide pressure release valves to dissolve the lumps before discharge.
Iron & Steel
Be it flat, round, long, short or structural, different products have different characteristics and based on that, these products need different means of transportation. The delivery of finished products such as structural steel must be handled with care to ensure that there are no changes in terms of the shapes. Therefore, focus are mainly on stowage, arrangement of rail wagon as well as shipment in order to deliver the products intact. On the other hand, transportation of coils is another challenging process as it can be very dangerous while on the move. Loose cargoes have to be properly secured and that is part of Infinity’s logistics engineering endeavor.
Construction Materials
Construction materials can be divided into two categories for transportation purposes. They are structural materials such as cement, sand, gravels, etc and decorative materials such as tiles, paints, veneers, etc. These materials have different handling requirements where structural materials are price sensitive where speed and timeliness are priorities while the decorative materials are aesthetically sensitive and require special care in handling and transportation.
Polymers
In Europe, most polymers are delivered in bulk either in pressure tankers or container bulk. Infinity is one of the pioneer logistics companies in Malaysia that is capable of offering this solution to our customers. The usage of silo-to-silo in our transportation, has made us the preferred logistics company in the polymer industry not only in Malaysia but in Singapore as well.
Grains & Feeds
Grains and feed are price sensitive commodities. Therefore, the logistics cost becomes a crucial factor in determining which traders will win the contracts. Through Infinity’s backhaul freight, these grains and feeds can be shipped in a timely manner thus, reducing the logistics cost.
Minerals
The mining industry in Malaysia is developing at a steady pace albeit lacking in logistics infrastructure which makes the movement of minerals from mine to its intended destinations being inconvenient. To curb this inconvenience, Infinity offers our customers containers to minimize the cost of shipping for these minerals.
FMCG
Fast moving consumer goods is another area where we have to thoroughly understand our customers and the customers’ needs. Often, the biggest challenge in this sector is to get the right product to the right place at the right time which we have never failed to do.
